How your bad habits are keeping you from prospering.

Hello everyone,

Today I wanted to talk about how our bad habits are keeping us from prospering and how we first need to take a step back and realize procrastination isn’t the problem, being lazy is the problem! The more you dig deep within yourself, the more you’ll be able to take responsibility because you’re acknowledging you’re the reason you’re not prospering! Today I want you to focus on what’s holding you back besides yourself? What can you do to avoid getting distracted by your bad habits? This can be staying off of social media for a while to get your head back in the right space, eliminating all of that negative talk and simply getting rid of people who don’t believe in your or your vision!

Have you been so intune with all that’s going on in the world and on social media that you’re not focusing on your own goals and dreams? Well then hey, that might be the problem! I get that things are very entertaining but when they’re getting to the point where you can’t focus on your own dreams and goals, then that’s a really big problem! Maybe social media is your bad habit and you’re going to have to figure out how do you balance the two, without putting your dreams on hold for someone’s else’s entertainment via social media!

Are you settling for lesser than what you deserve? Are you hanging around people who laugh at your dreams? Are you acting like your dreams don’t matter because of what someone once said? Are content with not having more? Are you willing to put your dreams on hold because of what other people might think when you become something great? If your answer is yes, then baby girl it’s time to reevaluate the people you have in your life! People who care about you, will care about your dreams and seeing you WIN! They won’t hate on your success, they’ll be there front row and center clapping for you! Period!

I know it can be hard when you don’t  have amazing people in your life, that care about your vision or people who don’t support you! But you have to be able to see your own light and be your own support system, this is your life and if people don’t care about it then that should give you even more motivation to work even harder to chase your dreams! Once you figure out your purpose, you don’t have to apologize or feel ashamed for actually doing what you know is best for you and your future! People are either going to love it or walk away, whatever decision they make, don’t let it affect you!

Moving forward: A few things you can do to prosper in life.

  • Manifest positivity into everything you do.
  • Have those healthy small pep talks every morning before heading out of your house.
  • Practice patience, self discipline and self control, you’ll learn so much when you actually have faith in your process!
  • Write down your goals and set deadlines!
  • Limit associating with people who don’t believe in you or your vision.
  • Don’t settle for mediocre success, when God gave you the vision to be great!

Quick affirmation:

Today I’m responsible for my own journey and growth, I will not allow procrastination or being lazy interfere with my life long goals! I will hold myself accountable for my actions, I will not place blame on others for my happiness or dreams! Today I will plant seeds and watch them manifest into greatness! Today I choose to go through the process, to get to the promise! Today I decide to put myself first and allow change to come into my life!

Hello beautiful souls, I'm Takeia Cage, and I'm the CEO/Founder of Unashamed Queens! I'm an advocate, momtrepreneur, life coach, and motivational blogger. I have always been dedicated to helping women re-discover their light, while walking in their truth, unashamed! It wasn’t until I was in my early twenties, when I discovered my calling to be an advocate for the women in my community. I have always wanted to be apart of a sisterhood that supported, uplifted, and celebrated women without us feeling judged or even ashamed of our journey. There wasn’t many women empowerment groups in my community that actually focused on celebrating queens, so I decided to create my own community for unashamed women. Now I am the founder of Unashamed Queens, a women’s empowerment group that focuses on supporting, uplifitng, and celebrating queenhood. I would always tell myself years ago that you can’t help anyone if you can’t help yourself, and today I believe that statement is so untrue. It wasn’t until I was re-discovering my own light, that I wanted to also encourage/help other women to re-discover theirs as well. I truly believe that we’re all stronger together, and that creating a safe-space for women to feel support and loved through sisterhood.
